“We find ourselves in the most organized and interconnected period of human history by far, and yet there is a sense of collective loneliness in the heart of humanity. The new service networks and communication tools of this digital era are having a huge impact on patterns of behaviour, relationships and concepts of identity; and while they have the potential to facilitate new freedoms and further human integration, they also harbour the danger of new addictions and compulsions. The ‘online world’ is a wonderful medium for promoting social evolution, but it can also erode the traditional sense of community relationships and social values”

Where we are going

  • We are now in a much more connected world where in a flash we know what is happening on the other side of the world and in many cases faster than what we can get locally. The reason for this is the global companies wanting to interface with their customers where ever they are and have control of the messages to benefit their organisation. Countries are looking inside their borders while companies have no borders as such, but their missions and benefit are for the few that control them who are following a vision that is very internal.

We now have a new model of communication and execution that has never been seen before that can now allow this model to be changed.

The whole principle of this new model is a trust-less connection and execution in an open environment, which actually means we can trust what was agreed to is done and not depend upon others too makes sure what was agreed is done, a 180-degree of change, something that has never been seen before where the expensive human procedural element can be removed.

  • Communities are having all their value extracted from them for others benefit. We need to change this.

Banks, big tech and businesses have been extracting value from our communities for their benefit and this has to turned around.

  • Kula is a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “community,” “clan” or “tribe.”

  • Web3 allows these rules to be changed and give back control to the community through NFTs, DeFi, DAO and community tokens.

Covid has accelerated the change in accepting change which has opened Pandora's box in making us realise so much more can be done when we work together.

We see a community that will be fully in charge of running itself with its own economy and all benefiting from the success.

Communities themselves will also be part of a global economy and working to benefit all.

  • We were born out of the frustration of seeing banks take too much from our Yoga business and landlords for our physical studios who only cared about money. We lost our Kirrawee studio to the landlord, which accelerated the work which we had started during Covid with our online platform. But we didn’t give up on the lost of our second studio but pushed harder. We have worked with a property developer who underwrote a new property at Kirrawee that the community can own later where the developer will sell 50% to the community. For the developer, they can now triple their business as lower risk for them as they get the first cut of the rent from the revenue. The community owns the other 50% and gets rent linked to the revenue once a threshold is met, allowing them to access the upside of a successful studio. A win/win model and has allowed the new studio to be four times larger for the same price that was paid before.
